Techniques = Basic Cut,
Cross Cutting (Cutting between two scenes with the intention of creating drama, intensity or excitement)
Cutting on action (Continuity editing) = Cutting on a physical action or movement of the character, its with the intention of hiding the cut.
Matched Cut/Action = Two different shots that share identical framing / audio or continuous similarities.
Jump Cut = An unusual cut with in a scene where parts of the linear narrative are removed.
Montage = Collection of shots that cover a passage of time that moves the narrative along quickly.
